Miracle Noodles

What are those smelly noodles and why are you eating them?

Miracle Noodle https://miraclenoodle.com/ a type of shirataki noodles or konjac noodles

They're made from glucomannan, a type of fiber that comes from the root of the konjac plant. A little different from those tofu noodles out there- these are not soy based. Why I eat them? I didn’t grow up on pasta but I have fun eating ‘pasta alternatives’: spaghetti squash, zoodles, and konjac noodles for variety. Normal pasta makes me feel really bloated and heavy- and I have a harder time digesting them.

The key to these ‘smelly noodles’ is pre-washing. Rinse the noodles in a colander and keep rinsing- minimum 5 minutes or so to really get rid of the smell. Why do they smell? They're packaged in fishy-smelling liquid, which is actually plain water that has absorbed the odor of the konjac root. How should I cook them? Boil water- once boiling at noodles for 2-3 minutes, drain, and serve. Add your favorite pesto, marinara sauce or top with curry! ENJOY!
